Arrived to Kampala!

Well, I have arrived safely in Uganda. I got in Tuesday night late at 11:00pm. Robert and his driver, Jonan, received me at the airport in Entebbe and we drove back to Robert's place in Kampala. I was originally supposed to travel to Gulu on Thursday, however, I have remained in Kampala the past couple of days for various reasons. Before I went to Gulu I wanted to get my internet and phone set-up. Robert has helped me to purchase a modem, SIM card and phone. I also wanted to stay in Kampala a few more days because I was enjoying my time going to all the different places with Robert and meeting all his amazing friends. The picture below was taken in Mukono district outside a friend of Robert's house. Isn't it beautiful?! 

I've been thinking about how I want to do this blog. I don't want to bore everyone by listing off each day activity I do. So I think I'll discuss some of the adventures I have and some of the interesting things I notice while I'm here. I have some topics in mind already: driving; dressing; the people; etc. Just bear with me if I don't post every day. I've had such busy days so far and I haven't even started work! But at least it's good busy! :0) I hope everyone at home, or wherever you're reading this, is well. I miss you all! Again, I want to thank everybody who has supported me in this trip, whether financially or morally. It really means everything to me.
